Maleé Green is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a Virginia-native earning her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia State University. Maleé brings with her over seven years of clinical acumen in the mental health field. Throughout her years of dedicated practice, Maleé has served children, adolescents, families, and adults in acute care, community, outpatient, and school-based settings.

 

Maleé specializes in treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, healing from traumatic experiences, anger
management, parent/child conflict, and emotional regulation. Maleé utilizes a trauma informed lens, as well as a person centered and strengths-based approach to support individuals in understanding how their experiences have shaped current behaviors and emotions, finding solutions, and learning healthy methods to navigate personal and
interpersonal challenges in life. Maleé is a dedicated and passionate psychotherapist who enjoys serving as a change agent when empowering others to take control of their lives. 

 

Maleé’s eclectic counseling strengths include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy modalities, Reality Therapy modalities, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What is your favorite wellness activity?

I love walking outside or watching romantic comedies​

What was your least favorite food as a child? Do you love it or hate it now?

Peas... and they are still gross unless in Chinese food or cup-of-noodles (lol!)

What book, movie, or TV show have you read/seen recently that you'd recommend and why?

I recently watched 21 Bridges and I would recommend because Chadwick Boseman is so intelligent and amazing to watch in action.

Do you think you could live without your phone or technology for ONE week?

Absolutely, if I'm surrounded bu the people I love the most who allow me to forget about the outside world​
